Access to healthcare is a fundamental human right, yet many rural communities in Ghana face significant barriers to obtaining medical services.
At Lory Care Foundation, we are committed to bridging this gap through our healthcare outreach programs and medical camps.
Our Initiatives:
- Medical Camps: We organize regular medical camps in remote areas, providing free medical check-ups, treatments, and vaccinations. Our team of dedicated healthcare professionals volunteers their time and expertise to ensure that even the most underserved populations receive quality care.
- Health Education: In addition to medical services, we conduct health education sessions to raise awareness about common health issues, preventive measures, and hygiene practices. Knowledge is a powerful tool in preventing illness and promoting well-being.
- Maternal and Child Health: Our focus on maternal and child health aims to reduce mortality rates and improve health outcomes for mothers and their children. We provide prenatal care, safe delivery services, and postnatal support to ensure the health and safety of both mother and child.
A Day in the Life of a Medical Camp
Our recent medical camp in the village of Abokobi was a resounding success. Over 300 residents received medical attention, including general check-ups, dental care, and eye examinations. One of the highlights was the vaccination drive for children under five, which saw a significant turnout. The gratitude and smiles on the faces of the villagers were a testament to the impact of our efforts.
